A flicker of hope

I have my cadre of Facebook friends. But one stands out for me.

A woman in her 80s. I've known her for 40+ years. My mother's age. She was a secretary in my high school. And a loyal Republican.

She "friended" me after losing touch with her for decades, and I accepted.

She's gone 180 degrees. Not just a Democrat, but an activist. No matter how inflammatory my posts are (usually sharing articles), she endorses them. She "saw the Light," so to speak.

RBG herself was demoted in her civil service job in Oklahoma after revealing to her boss that she was pregnant. (Just learned this today.)

Life is hard for many today, but a lot of progress has been made thanks to Justice Ginsburg and so many others.

My husband saw the light and changed his voter registration to independent from GOP.

My friend saw the light and changed his voter registration to Democrat from GOP.

It's happening.

all voted for whoever was the weirdo that ran on Independent ticket in 2016 because they didn’t like HRC or Rump. This time they are firmly in Joe’s corner. Not sure about the dad. He may act in agreement but all his buddies are rump men... so who knows.
