Moscow Mitch picking a new judge isn't a done deal

Losing RBG was a cruel blow and I hit the scotch hard last night, pounded my fist on the table and got the rage out of my system and now I am ready to fight like hell. We have Murkowski and we need 3 more defectors. This game isn't over by any means. Time to ratchet up the heat on these moderate republicans. Are they organizing massive demonstrations like the women’s march? Tell me where and when and I am there. Sent another big donation to Biden and the Democrats. No whining. Biden’s lead has been quietly expanding in the battleground states and this is looking like a landslide. Worst case scenario and Moscow Mitch succeeds? After we win we will just expand the USSC to 13, increase the number of federal judges and flood the courts with our picks and push Puerto Rico to embrace statehood giving us 2 more Senators. But we have to win big first. Fight my brothers and sisters! FIGHT! This is our country and we are taking it back.

They'll vote the party line like they're told. I wouldn't hold out the slightest hope they'd do anything moral or ethical. Romney has the ethics of a snake don't forget. He's not a good person.

We need to continue to make it about Covid. The Democrats must stay the course and after the election, we sort it out. Protests play into Trump's hands.

That’s merely the 2020 edition of “keeping our powder dry” – and we saw how well THAT worked.

So what do we do when we “stay the course,” and then any legislation we pass in the new administration gets declared unconstitutional by the new SCOTUS? They don’t need to give a sensible reason, they just need five votes (and they’ll have that many guaranteed on every case). What the FUCK is the point of “staying the course” if it guarantees conservatives an effective veto power in anything we do for decades? If we decide to “stay the course,” we may as well just hand Trump a second term – because that’s what we’ll be getting.

upon it, since Republicans lie, but based on what has been written in other threads and said last night on MSNBC/CNN:

Murkowski - no
Romney - no
Graham - no
Grassley - no

Collins - unknown, but she's in a bind.

Mark Kelly - Seated early (after election)

So, I'm dubious about the promises of "no" from Graham and Grassley, but I'm just setting this out hypothetically.

I don't trust any of the republicon filth to stand by their word. They all make noises from time to time to appear "maverick" or "not corrupt" or "think for themselves" or whatever.

But over the years, whenever it comes down to crucial votes that the fascist right or corporate right REALLY WANT, they fall in line anyway.

Dont give the benefit of the doubt to people that don't deserve it, and have proven so time and again. We need to stop buying into their shit. If/when Biden wins, you know Steve Schmidt et al will turn their organization into a pro republican/anti Dem machine. There's no such thing as an honorable or decent republican.

don't want the Supreme Court to rule on trump getting re elected. I am sure a lot of them are "pro life". It's just that they want to survive covid and keep allies internationally etc.

They know republican senators who don't like trump and are too weak or greedy to fight him.

Tweet from Rick Wilson that makes me think this is what they are doing:
