As of tomorrow the substitute NFL refs will be taking the blame for:

traffic jams,
stormy weather,
the current NBC prime time schedule
and Mitt Romney's campaign strategy.
If you have anything to offload now is the time to shift the blame.

But seriously, the officiating has been horrendous. It's not these guys' fault. When you're used to officiating NAIA and Division II games at Bumblefuck State on Saturday afternoons, you're completely unprepared for the speed and intricacies of the NFL game. I blame the people who put them in that position.

Sydney Swans play a different form of Football where players aren't padded, helmeted wimps. They also do not stop play every 30 seconds and when play does stop, the ball goes quickly back into play.

It's a far better sport, IMHO.

The main difference is that the ball is always in play. Either team can grab it and run.

I don't like US football. I think that the Aussies have the game right. If you've never seen Aussie football, you don't know what you're missing.
