Trump was never serious about winning the presidency in 2016.

He was just trying to pad his resume.

When he debated 17 other Republicans, he just wanted to put on a show. It was all an act.

But one by one, all of the Republican challengers fell by the wayside.

Felix Sater, in an email, stated that he thought they might be able to get "our boy" into the White House.

Russia thought it was a joke. They were as surprised as Donald when he won the Republican nomination.

Donald was only trying to build up the value of his brand. He wanted to build his Tower in Moscow and donate the top floor to his hero, Vladimir Putin. It would make all the other apartments under Putin much more valuable.

He never stopped making business deals while he was running for President. He lied about the Moscow Tower, according to Michael Cohen, his fixer. It was in his blood. He could not stop making deals. And most of the people around him knew that a lot of the deals were not completely above board.

Then, he had to run against Hillary Clinton. Russia offered to help him in his race. Naturally, Donald saw nothing wrong with that. "Russia, if you're listening...", he said.

It was an opportunity that Trump and Putin could not pass up. They used every trick in the book to win the election. They tore down their opponents with character attacks and they suppressed the votes in critical areas in states that Democrats were expected to win. The results were above all their expectations.

Trump never stopped making his business deals with the most shady characters in the world. His supporters treated him like some sort of cult leader. They didn't care who he associated with or what crimes he may have committed. He put on a show for them and they loved it.

But, this time, it is not a joke. They are dead serious about winning the election. They expect to win. They expect to rob the Treasury of this nation and to destroy our democracy. It is as serious as a heart attack.

There are prison bars waiting for him. And Putin loves the chaos he has created.

He was not only unprepared, but he has neglected to do the job, never intended to.

He gets off on the laughs and the applause. It would be hard to find one person in this nation that is more incompetent than Donald J Trump. What they think is funny is sad and tragic.

5. His idea of POTUS is just standing in front of packed crowds and receiving applause

That's all he's contributed. Meanwhile, he expects his slumlord son-in-law to solve the world's problems. There has never been anyone so incompetent and unsuited for the job.

I've always thought that he wanted to win the popular vote and lose the EC. That way he wouldn't have to do the work, but he could tweet all the time about how he was the real winner, HRC was making all the wrong decisions, and things would be better if he were running things. He'd tweet over and over about abolishing the EC too.

He'd make bank on the speaking tour, writing books and selling merchandise as he spoke of how Hillary and the Democrats stole the election.

The fact that he had run for President would have improved his brand name. I think that may have been his idea from the beginning.

But he was in the middle of making deals as he was running for president and he had no intention of stopping his business for a run at the White House. When he was declared the winner, he was still in the middle of a lot of "deals" with a lot of shady characters and he brought his business into the White House.

He still hasn't shown his tax returns to this very day.
