Has it been announced whether or not there will be an audience at the Presidential debates?

I thought the last Dem Primary debate with just the candidates and moderator on stage, everyone properly distanced, and no audience was a perfect solution in the COVID era. I think Joe was more relaxed in that setting, too (whether or not it was because of there being no audience is debatable).

We don’t know what the audience will look like for these debates, whether there will even be one, or even whether the candidates will appear virtually or together onstage. The Trump campaign requested that both candidates appear onstage together. The commission did not respond to that request, saying only that it will follow all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention guidelines and that it has retained Cleveland Clinic as a health security adviser for the debates.

Preferably not, of course, because Trump will have no one to grandstand to. Not that that will stop him, but he feeds off that stuff.
