If my memory serves me right

in '91 running up to the election when it started to look like Clinton would be elected, peoples confidence shot up then same as now. For the most part I and all others paying attention feel in our heart of hearts that our very fine, hell of a good President will win this and that makes us happy. If we can get the house now we'll be set to move forward at a higher pace than in the past when the puke could stymie any attempt by Obama to get things rolling. We need the house and a super majority in the senate then it would be katy bar the doors as we're moving this country in the right direction and at a pace that will make the pukes cry foul but being the petulant assholes they are no one will be paying attention to them anymore.

Yes I'm confident that President Obama is going to carry this due to his intelligence, hard work, down to earth goodness with a down to earth good family, a man who has the patience of Job. A man who is working for the majority of the people in this country as he should be.

We have to keep in mind that we're a racist country or we have a lot of racist people yet and that limits just what Obama can do concerning the war criminals and rip-off artist, (the banking industry.) Its better that he works and does what he can rather than be broiled down in controversy such as going after the afore mentioned would surely bring. I'll take the President as he is as I see him a perfect example of how we can be governed by a non-white male and not disintegrate. Its a fine line that President Obama is walking and he is smart enough to know that. I like that in him.

I identify as one of those old white guys
who is more proud of my two votes for our very first non white male President than all the other votes I've cast combined. Now if we can get a woman President in '16 I can go to my grave with a smile on my face. President Obama has broken down the barriers that has prevented this for so long. Oh we helped when we voted for him but it was he who was leading the way. Remember the change we strive for is us. He gave us direction.

Yes I love my President and Vice President and I trust them to do what is right for the majority of Americans and for that they're earned my respect and vote come Nov. 6.

No matter what color they are.
I'd like to see a smart woman in the White House too.
Intelligent, articulate and far-seeing is much more important to this country than what the republicans have dredged up in the last 30+ years.
Since before Reagan..Nixon and Ford come to mind as being in the dredged up category. A whole bunch of knuckle draggers. Some were demented, some were crooked, some were a sandwich short of a picnic. Never again I hope.

especially after watching "Iowa, be the first..." with POTUS, FLOTUS and all those wonderful Obama supporters in the Hawkeye State.

You're so right. This is one exceptional human being, and one hell of a fine president.

I'm just proud to be a citizen of the country that could elect such a man, and relieved to be a citizen of the world that has him in its corridors of power.

I love your confidence in the President. I think we can often lose sight of the transformational changes happening in front of us as we battle to make further advancements and progress. Needless to say, we won't always agree with this Democratic president; and may well hold strong and lasting opposition to some of his policies or actions, but it should be recognized that his election (and anticipated reelection) is a perfect example of that transformational change we seek in other areas of government and society. That's something to defend, in and of itself. We know what we're up against, so, I'd tell folks to avoid dwelling on that opposition (any more than it takes to upbraid them) and continue to organize as much positive energy as we can into these last weeks of the campaign. Best of luck to us, madokie.
