NJ Poll Obama (D) 52% Romney ($) 37%

The results are fairly unremarkable given New Jersey's recent presidential voting history but it puts to bed the notion that having a governor of your own party is of particular help to a presidential candidate in winnning that state's Electoral College votes.

When the only reason the guy is governor in the first place is because Liberals/Progressive threw fits about Corzine and stayed home/didn't vote in protest. Soooo - anyone planning to not vote because Obama didn't give you that one thing you wanted but can't see the 200 things he has accomplished -

What happens when you don't vote in protest?

You get stuck with Good Guv'nah Doughboy. I'm in hell- saaaaaaaaaaaave me! GOTV for Obama!

And I know Booker is not very popular at DU - but I think if he ran - he'd pummel Christie. Our unemployment rate is higher than the national average. Our foreclosures are off the charts. Our property taxes (one of the key things the damn fool ran on) haven't gone down, and in Central NJ - where the 9th wealthiest county in America is - the working poor numbers are increasing at a dramatic rate. I think only a tiny number of people that voted for him have remorse. But the Left in NJ? We have to GOTV. It's the only way to beat him. Sheer volume/numbers.

Them saying he was a bad surrogate for President Obama. Regardless - he'd make a great governor. ONE statement said on a talking head show on a Sunday morning shouldn't dismiss him from the field. Overall - he'd have the gravitas and well - people trust him. Even if Christie runs - I think Booker would - and could beat him. Even at a Yoga "Out" for Liberals event I attended this past weekend - he's kind of like Obama, Biden, Dean, Pelosi, Duckworth (crossfingers she wins her election) - he just puts a smile on your face.
