i am not sure most RW religious nuts who want Roe vs Wade

overturned realize that it will return the choice to the states. Most blue states have laws codifying abortion as legal. Those that dont will pass laws to do so. The end result will be that affected people are those unfortunate to live in a red states . As usual they are shooting themselves in the foot.

1. They would most likely declare the fetus a full person and the state laws null and void.

2. Oh, it won't be the end of the matter.

Yeah, Blue States will offer legal abortion, but Republicans will codify a law that makes it a crime to leave the red state to seek an abortion.

4. thats assuming they can pass it. we are controling the house

and likely will the senate for the near future. That should leave us time to pack the supreme court and get rid of gerrimandering. That later issue is a ballot amendment in Virginia this cycle. Its proposing to create a mechanism (at state level of course) which takes away from the power to gerrimand from the legislators.

5. I believe that travel between the states is a fundamental right.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freedom_of_movement_under_United_States_law

Freedom of movement under United States law is governed primarily by the Privileges and Immunities Clause of the United States Constitution which states, "The Citizens of each State shall be entitled to all Privileges and Immunities of Citizens in the several States." Since the circuit court ruling in Corfield v. Coryell, 6 Fed. Cas. 546 (1823), freedom of movement has been judicially recognized as a fundamental Constitutional right. In Paul v. Virginia, 75 U.S. 168 (1869), the Court defined freedom of movement as "right of free ingress into other States, and egress from them."[1] However, the Supreme Court did not invest the federal government with the authority to protect freedom of movement. Under the "privileges and immunities" clause, this authority was given to the states, a position the Court held consistently through the years in cases such as Ward v. Maryland, 79 U.S. 418 (1871), the Slaughter-House Cases, 83 U.S. 36 (1873) and United States v. Harris, 106 U.S. 629 (1883).[2][3]

12. It won't matter, it will be nullified by blue states

Much as the federal ban on pot is nullified.

In our divided climate, moving controversial issues back down to the states is probably the only way to hold this country together.

3. It is sad that people feel they can judge others on this choice.

My religious teachings taught me free will, and that I will be judged individually by my creator not Politicians or groups.

6. THEY DON'T CARE! RvW gets o/t they got what they've wanted all these years! Personally, I don't

think the Gov't should have any say in it at all! They don't te;; me I have to go to church on Sun; they don't tell me I have to get married by a priest; yet they want to overrule my personal decision to raise children or not! I'm a Catholic & I would never personally have an abortion, but that's a decision I'd make between my God, my Doctor & my husband. I don't give a sh** what the Gov't says about it.

How the hell did the Gov't get into the medial business anyway?

9. Thats what they say.

I guarantee you they care the minute its affecting them or their family directly. More than one conservative have gotten abortions. It used to be they would send their daughter away a few months ( vacation visiting relatives etc..) and get her an abortion while poor people would risk their lives with back alley abortions before Roe vs Wade.

15. Oh, I'm well aware of what it was like before Roe. I was 20 when Roe was passed. I remember the

newspaper articles )YES we actually got our news from the daily paper!) of the women who were permanently harmed or died from "back alley abortions, or bled to death from using a coat hanger. When I said they don't care, I meant they don't care about anyone loosing a rite. They will still will send Sally off to visit a cousin in NY for a "couple of weeks vacation. At women in their State who has to return to the "back alley" and bleeds out or dies is just one of the riff-raff they're glad to be rid of.

7. Just like in the past, rich white women will still get their abortion.

The doctor will list it as a D & C and it will be covered by insurance.

10. They'll likely go after it at the national level next.

The forced birthers will never be satisfied, and the issue will continue to be a major source of polarization long after Roe v Wade is gone.

Ever more restrictions and ever more draconian punishments.

They won't stop until we're in The Handmaid's Tale.

13. I think its going to have the opposite effect.

Once its illegal in some states, it will galvanize voters like never before. Many of the younger people take it for granted. If it becomes illegal, we will take every legislature.

18. Right-wingers are such phony self-serving hypocrites

Well the college kids want to go to bars and parties and they don't want to wear masks. Oh hey, they're kids! Let them go out and have fun!

But then they have sex and they get pregnant, and they need abortions. Oh hell no! That's a sin, they can't do that. It's against God's law. Give me a break.
