Of Course Democrats Have A Plan!

Just because he presented a montage of claims that Trump won't leave, stupid Bill Maher thought that would justify demanding that Bernie tell him of the Dems' "Plan" on national television, watched by milions. Maher thinks he and his millions are entitled.

If anyone thinks knowing the Democratic Party's "Plan" is a good idea, they do not know that when one is on the defensive in life and politics, stealth and ambush are the greatest weapons.

To PUBLICALLY tip off Republicans? on HBO? the news? on DU?
To give fascists even more intelligence and leverage than they now have? Preposterous.

Transparency is for governance, not winning political wars. Win first. Never tip your hand.

Let's not think Democrats and Biden don't have a plan just because we don't know it. Tom Perez hinted at that yesterday on MSNBC.

We know a few things which should reassure us. Biden's got a war room. He's not taking a knife to a gun fight.

Biden's using two former solicitors general -- Donald B. Verrilli Jr. and Walter Dellinger -- along with hundreds of lawyers bracing for an extended legal battle. Dana Remus, Bob Bauer, a former White House counsel during the Obama administration; the law firm Perkins Coie, led by Marc Elias to head up state-by-state battles, monitoring and building cases of Trump election fraud across states.

A lot of what Trump and his allies would have us do is amplify their disaster scenarios,” Mr. Bauer said. “We’re not going to get caught up in alarmist rhetoric they are using to scare voters.

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/09/14/us/politics/biden-legal-challenges-trump.html

Already De Joy is showing fear. Already Lindsey Graham is publically begging for bucks, Indivisible is prepped across states.

Watch what Democrats can do. They ain't playin'.

The evangelical true-believers have been plotting and planning for 20 years for a take over of the courts and establish a de facto theocracy. The huge support from Focus on the family, roberts' club, the falwells, franklin graham, et al. is powerful. Do you realize that their collective incomes are more than a $billion? This why they continue to dominate southern politics.

Their voting is not based on enlightened self-interest, nor on sane social policies benefitting all. It is, what would god do according to my predilections and biases?

It is a grave mistake, IMHO, to underestimate the radical right. They are organized, canny, and numerous. And stealthy; there is a whole movement for getting them to lie to pollsters. This was successful in 2016, when so many polls showed Hillary ahead, and then, wham, Trump won. Remember, they are 35-40% and are 65 million.

Biden team may have learned some lessons after Gore v Bush. I fault Obama for not doing more to build up local Democratic parties and groups.

This in Pennsylvania.... 4000 meet-ups, 38,000 attendees! Anybody who dismisses Trump's team and ground organization is foolish.
Team Trump is silently unobserved doing this the same in Wisconsin and Michigan via churches.

behind the thread I posted the night Rachel went with the story about the Atlantic article that spelled out the Trump campaign's plan to use the courts to steal the election. I felt that night that the way she approached it was, indeed, amplifying their disaster/chaos plans and thus normalizing them. Much as I love and respect Rachel, I got reamed by several on DU for that thread, but, hey, nobody said we aren't passionate!

"A lot of what Trump and his allies would have us do is amplify their disaster scenarios,” Mr. Bauer said. “We’re not going to get caught up in alarmist rhetoric they are using to scare voters."

she held it together pretty well. The coverage of the Atlantic report was still an important look at the Fifth Avenue Mafia's map, imo.

It's good for this to get out there; it's just how it's presented that amplifies or informs.

We can hold it together -- even though we know there's a lot that's wrong, evil, and dangerous -- and still move forward with purpose and determination.

but I understand why he did. No one is able to say which security branch would be responsible for doing the dirty deed. Add to the fact that WE would have to use our OWN AR-15s and AK-47s to clear a path through the hordes of disgusting deplorables, just to get to the turd to put him in handcuffs and FINALLY drag him out of OUR White House, so fumigation for all the russian bugs and listening devices, could commence.

or not?

It was also pretty obvious that Bernie didn't have an answer.

The simple answer for removing the turd from the White House toilet bowl will be President Biden saying "This is OUR house, again. Now get the fuck out." The security responsible for doing so will do just that.

The democrats don't have a plan for dealing with between now and inauguration. We have a serious lack of creativity when it comes to fighting a gun battle only carrying some mace. So we will let the republicans continue to be be republicans, and send sternly worded letters and missives, issue meaningless subpoenas, and declare unenforceable deadlines, which will also be ignored.

There will be no substantial questioning of Barret. Moscow Mitch won't allow it. She will NOT announce overturning Roe v Wade is her #1 priority. Besides, she will dance around "forced birth" like she is a professional ballroom dancer. She will end with a spectacular slide and dip, which will cause EVERY republican senator to give her a score of 11, on a scale of 1 to 10.

We have to allow her to KNOWINGLY lie to the investigative committee (make nothing of it during the hearings), then, after Biden is sworn in, impeach her sorry ass for doing so.

Then do the same to Kavanaugh. For either seat, nominate Anita Hill to fill it, have NO hearings, go straight to a vote, pass her overwhelmingly (due to our huge wins in the senate), then immediately accept Thomas's resignation.

Icing on the cake would be selecting Hillary for one of the newly vacated seats. She still has 10 to 15 good years of public service still left in her. We could then watch the heads explode.

Ah, a boy can dream, can't he?

Don't agree. I think Maher tried to make Bernie LOOK as if he didn't know, which was a cheap attack, imo.

I think Bernie is aware of much more than he can tell Maher, but on live HBO, you can't just say that.

The democrats don't have a plan for dealing with between now and inauguration.

You do realize that there's a difference between your not knowing the Democrats plan and saying they don't have one, right? Do you know for a fact they don't have a plan? Can you link proof to counter mine? Can you believe they have a deep enough bench and expertise to keep violence at bay, keep ballots moving and then fully counted, state by state? If you can't, then you need to read more.

We have to allow her to KNOWINGLY lie to the investigative committee (make nothing of it during the hearings), then, after Biden is sworn in, impeach her sorry ass for doing so.

This would be a brilliant strategy on the Democrats' part. To engage her fully is to lull her into slipping up and giving grounds for later impeachment.

Thanks for your post!

Think of all the benefits we have ... hindsight, instant communications, a large continent with dispersed populations, technology, money, numbers, wizened leaders, a still functioning Constitution and to substantial degree legal system. These are assets not without merit. They are tools those committed to freedom and law can utilize in this fight. Repression has never played well in America. We told Old King George to shove it, and were the thumb on the scale of two World Wars against freedom. We will be revitalized by this struggle. And we will not lose.

They should make a point to release all the evidence of criminal activity by tRUMP and Republicans the last four years and proof that tRUMP and Republicans stole their elections with Russia's help... Make them howl and scream, then demand the immediate resignations of all confirmed judges from these thefts. Unless there is a remedy and reckoning of what the Republican Party has been doing, then they will continue to be an obstacle for and danger to the United States.

Who in the hell is ever allowed to keep ill gotten power by fraud??? That is the one thing that just burns me the most about them. The Democratic Party made nice the last time they took over for the sake of the country... Not this time and the American People will rally behind them, because the Republican Party will burn you again with it if they get another opportunity with impunity.
