Thank you MP Chris Bryant!

“When others have resorted to violent solutions, [Biden] has argued that the best force is the force of argument,” Chris Bryant, a member of the Labour Party, told the Standard. “Because guns can stop a heart but well-placed words can change many hearts, and many hearts can change a world.”

A member of the British Parliament on Tuesday announced he has nominated Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden for the Nobel Peace Prize.

“When others have resorted to violent solutions, [Biden] has argued that the best force is the force of argument,” Chris Bryant, a member of the Labour Party, told the Standard. “Because guns can stop a heart but well-placed words can change many hearts, and many hearts can change a world.”

From the Nobel Prize website:

"The statutes of the Nobel Foundation restrict disclosure of information about the nominations, whether publicly or privately, for 50 years."

So, just because someone says they nominated someone doesn't mean the nomination is officially recognized as such.

kind of prize or award for his humanitarian work. Not sure that it qualifies for a peace prize, though, which is for people contributing to the cause of peace.

Biden is supporting peaceful means of defending democracy against a fascist takeover in the midst of polarization so strong and angry that it sometimes bursts out in violent confrontations which are encouraged by the WH resident. His calming influence is keeping us intact and as stable as possible under the circumstances. He deserves the nomination.

Poor man doesn't know thze difference between a nomination and actually winning the prize. Remember, this is the man who refused to serve in Viet Nan but happily accepted a Purple Heart from a Veteran because it was easier that way.

Awarding Biden the Nobel Prize in '21 would only backfire politically - as it did against Obama in '09.

By October 2022 however, Biden may very well have enough foreign policy accomplishments to merit the award. It'll make sense then.

Again: Any sooner, and you're giving the GOPee a major political gift for the '22 midterms.

Without Joe and Kamala running against the orange shitgibbon, I would be a wreck. They have spoken calmly and strongly in support of bringing Americans of all stripes back together. The message is one of peaceful dialogue and a return to peaceful discourse.

If anything, this nomination means a lot right now as it really is a TRUTH, when the US is so full of hate and fear mongering, Joe and Kamala have restored my faith that we can and will win the day.

A Nobel Prize in 2021 would backfire, and would make a great Rethug attack line for the '22 midterms (as it was against Obama, you'll recall).

A Nobel Prize in 2022, on the other hand, could be touted as a well-deserved recognition for what will almost certainly be two years of Biden accomplishments in the peace front.

I visualize this chain of events:

1. Tweetolini sees news report about Biden being awarded the 2021 Nobel Peace Prize.

2. Tweetolini throws a tantrum and smashes the TV set.

3. Tweetolini loses his prison TV lounge privileges and has his license plate factory earnings garnished to pay for a replacement.
