I think Steve Sculley will do better than Chris Wallace but unless both campaigns agree to crack down on enforcing the rules, it's just going to be another trainwreck with Trump kicking and screaming at will.

(7,430 posts)The only way for Sculley to meet the challenge is with the option of cutting off Trump's mike. And Trump would never agree to that. Trump needs to have control of the mike, and the studio, or he won't show up.

(7,411 posts)will be the town hall setting. Trump didn't handle his last town hall well at all. If Trump tries to do at this next one what he did tonight, the people in attendance might get irritated and turn on him. All it would take is one soul shouting out, "stop interrupting," or, "let him speak," and it will give the rest courage. They don't care about a career hinging on access or impartiality.

(15,270 posts)One thing Scully will bring is calmness. That's the way all the CSPAN hosts are trained. FTR, the only person who could ever make Brian Lamb crack a smile and actually laugh on air is Al Franken, who took great delight in that ability.
I think the town hall format will help, too.
