Even if a Trump loses he is still eligible for another term

And will likely fire up the old Trump shuttle jet and make campaign stops once or twice a week, calling for an armed revolution and creating more chaos than he has thus far.
We have no choice but to prosecute him for everything he has done to destroy our democracy.

without all that annoying living in the White House stuff. And everything bad happening would be someone else's fault.

But he'd lose the ability to corruptly influence DOJ, Treasury, etc. And that threatens his very existence as a free person.

...which defeated an attempt of impeachment conviction. Indictments can change that

Given his health and the fact that he's morbidly obese, and the sheer stress of being POTUS (not to mention his complete lack of diet and exercise), there's no way he will make it that long. If anything, a massive coronary will get him before an assassin or COVID will.
