trump's covid: it's a leftist conspiracy

can't put anything past those lefties.

“Trump was fine until the debate, where they set up microphones & podiums for him,” Tesoriero wrote. “Incubation period is usually 2 - 3 days. He tests positive a couple of days after the debate. I put nothing past the left. NOTHING.”

2. I'm starting to believe QAnon is just a big practical joke. It seems so much like satire.

Because you think, "No one can be this stupid." I'm starting to wonder if the guy behind it was just messing with the right wing fringe and he kept pushing the ridiculous and keeps pushing it to see what their limit is, and they have never blinked.

4. The guy who started it...

came out and said that very thing when he walked away from it. I don't remember the details but it was at least a year ago when I saw the story.

5. It ain't just QAnon, either.

I posted a tweet in another tread from some con-man "pastor" who was making the same sorts of claims. Then, there was that nutbag who Deanna Whatsherface (ran to try to unseat Nancy Pelosi), who couldn't understand why only Trump and GOPers were getting infected. Some of it is conspiracy, but a lot of it is rank stupidity.

7. and then there's my favorite among nutbags: Stella Immanuela...

the Houston doctor who also says sexual visitations by demons and alien DNA are at the root of Americans’ common health concerns.

6. I think the answer to conspiracy theories

is complicated and multi-faceted.
for example, the covid presense makes most of us more aware of death. The flags at half-staff, the death knell figures read out every hour, etc etc.
So we who are sane, we may respond by clinging to our loved ones, or making an even greater effort to give meaning to life, or finding peace through meditation or prayer... or whatever.

But when people have been given no tools to think critically, as the education system in this
country has devolved so hugely, when the main-stream media is useless, I think people look for peace to stupid conspiracy theories. If you have ever listened to the people who have been some right-wing nationalist racist group, they often say, -- at least I've heard some say--- they didn't care about the ideology, they just wanted to belong to something.
(I'm sure many are there bec. of the ideology).

So I'm not saying this to give them a pass... 'oh, poor white nationalists' but bec I try to understand what drives them.

And why are there now, so MANY of them?!
We've always had the Father Conklins. But we haven't had them in the White House or in Congress nor have they previously had a media platform which gives them access to millions.

Yes I think that is the biggest factor, starting way back-- when it was radio only, then TV, and now the Internet, has made these ghouls a national force.
