well, on Netflix, of course. I find myself almost gasping when I see people in the shows having dinner at a restaurant or weddings or just doing normal things like dating and hanging out in the break room at work. I feel like we will never see that normal stuff again in real life. It's just so strange to be shocked to see it on a tv show. I almost yell at them, "Don't you know we have a deadly virus spreading around???" And, of course, the show was filmed no less than a year ago. This is real Twilight Zone shit.

(4,223 posts)For years we have gone by train from Western PA to NYC at least once a year to see a couple Broadway Shows. We loved those trips and when we watch Cash Cab and see how vibrant the city was, it just breaks my heart. That piece of garbage, trump has ruined everything good. I wish him all the worst.

(268,931 posts)Still we've started going to our favorite restaurant once month at 11.30am. It opens at 11.00am and there are never more than four other people at that time.
It is seaside with a roof, but there are no windows; there is also roadside seating at ground level. It has always been this way. We leave just after 1.00pm before the lunch crowd arrive. We know the waiter who serves us from he was a little boy. He's a big man with a family now.
The person who insisted on going out is a close friend who has cancer. She told all of us that it would be better to go out and die than spend one more day locked up.
These are difficult times with hard choices.
We are very careful. Stay safe.
