Polls "Burning In"?

Is there any historical evidence that demonstrates that polling numbers become "burned in" at a certain point during an election cycle? I ask since we are now only a month away from counting the votes if what we are seeing in the polls now are pretty much what they will be a month from now.

voters GOP needs has no good outcome for trump and the GOP. The media will do what they can to make the election to appear close. They are hindered because trump will not shut up. There is no way the outcome is going to change. As for voter suppression and such, will be impossible to stop the democratic wave. All we got do is vote and I know we will stand in line for hours to do so. Judgement day is 29 days away
