I don't think Biden should have agreed to the town hall

Or any more debates. Not only is there a danger involved with interacting with more people -especially the covid king, but there isn't a whole lot to gain from it as he is beginning to enjoy 10-15 point leads heading into the mid and sometimes upper fifties. More exposure is probably risking losing some of that advantage.

Right now, the way it is shaking out, it looks like the next two debates won't happen. Which is just fine.

It's always good to know where the weak links are that are just waiting for Joe to fail at something he's done for longer than most have been alive.

Anyone who is worried about Biden doing a Town Hall, which is the subject of this thread, is indeed a weak link...and yeah, it's also moronic.

lots of people during a pandemic must be a weak link! It's great that you are chastising them! Just great!

Wait. No. That's moronic. It's also what Republicans do.

Congratulations.

I suspect you will need to have the last word. Enjoy!

Have a lovely evening.

The primary concern was not the pandemic and there's this thing called science that we use to provide safety with masks and social distancing.

You might have heard of it.

Look, there is not going to be any way to campaign 100% safely. They're doing this town hall VIRTUALLY. He's not going to be directly interacting with the people except by video - that was supposedly why Dump bailed. (He bailed because they can cut his mic in a heartbeat while virtual, but hey...) There is a LOT to gain by doing this, doing a town hall that he can do with brilliance, warmth, and passion, showing how he connects with real people, with NO poo flinging monkey, for 90 minutes on national TV. This is a no-brainer for him to do!

We don't care about the advantage. The Dump campaign is cheating every way possible. That "advantage" is going to be ground down several points, at least, by those tactics. Joe needs to keep campaigning like he's behind, and open that advantage every inch he can. He'll need it. We need a decisive win, not a squeaker.

There is no more empathetic retail politician than Joe Biden. He thrives in those situation where he forges connections with everyday citizens.

We know trump has no empathy and often alienates citizens who are his maga crowd.

But so be it. trump is nuts and has covid so it probably won't come off. We're ahead and don't need it. trump thinks he needs it but his confidence is misplaced as he thinks he's a good debater and we know better after that first debacle.
