I remember what Obama said about Pete: Pete is the future of the Democratic Party.

And Joe Biden, on camera, promised that Pete would have a place in his administration.

This I saw myself.

He will have a spot, who knows which one, but it will remove the complaint that he's inexperienced.

I expect that he will be our President some day.

I hope to still be alive.

He was just a little inexperienced and it cost him. My hope is that he secures a cabinet position in the Biden administration and uses that as a catapult.

When he established his committee to explore running, he was unknown outside of South Bend.

He had a huge hill to climb, to become known and then to run, along with dealing with his sexuality.

As I said in my OP, Biden has promised him a position in his administration, and that will cancel out any reference to inexperience.

I am sure he will use that position to catapult himself again into the national scene.

COS would be a good role for him too, perhaps. But if he wants to run again he's probably better off serving in a cabinet post or running for federal office.

What I wou love is when Joe is elected and whether he serves one term or two, Kamala would run for President and Pete would be the VP. I don’t know if I’ll live that long but I’m going to try.

He has pointed out that how can they be expected to hear and understand him if he doesn't talk to them?

I always thought that was a very valid point.

I was raised and educated in the Midwest, so immediately noticed the distinctive calm, unflappable tone Senator Harris brought to the debate.....a good example of Pete's influence and expertise. Probably caught Pence off guard.

Doug Emhoff and Chasten Buttigeig became friends during the long primary season. So, the four (Kamala, Doug, Pete and Chasten) can and WILL work well together in the future. Another winning combination.

...it was on a Commonwealth Club radio broadcast. It was early Sunday morning. I didn't catch his introduction. Within 15 minutes I said, "who is this guy."

His intellect, warmth, and common sense comes through immediately.

He is a star right now. It's just that a lot of people don't know it yet.

If the US can ever get over it's hypocritical homophobia he will be a force to be reckoned with.

But I don't think he could win higher office in as backwards a state as Indiana, and that's even if he wasn't gay.

The good news is that he's so young that he's got decades to get to the presidency.

I'm especially happy to see him treading in Faux waters and maybe influencing or shifting attitudes among their viewers.

This is why he didn't try for public office there. The folks in South Bend already knew him and liked what they saw.

And the reason he's talking to people via Fox News is to let them know directly who he is and what he believes. They can't vote for him if all they know are incorrect stereotypes.
