"If Joe Biden wins big, part of the reason, maybe a big part, will be simply that he is normal."

The Wish for Normalcy
October 9, 2020 at 7:55 am EDT By Taegan Goddard

Peggy Noonan: “It’s not only the past week’s events, not just the polls and their consistency, their upward tick from a lead of 6 or 7 to a lead in some polls of double digits; it’s the data about women and voters over 65.”

“No one will talk about it in public because they’re not idiots. Journalists don’t want to be embarrassed if they’ve got it wrong; Democrats don’t want to encourage complacency; Republicans don’t want to demoralize the troops; and the networks have to keep everyone hopped up on the horse race…”

“But if what a growing number of people are seeing as a real possibility happens, if we are in blowout territory, I think part of the reason won’t be political in any classic sense, or ideological, or having to do with some stupid question about which candidate you want to have a beer with. If Joe Biden wins big, part of the reason, maybe a big part, will be simply that he is normal.”

get down on your damn knees and beg the United States for absolution.. you’re not going to get it but on your knees is where you should be.. you and Mika and Joe and Andrea and the rest of the media pundits knew trump was a depraved sociopath but because you hated Hillary more than you loved your country you served him up as a viable candidate .. and only when you lost control of the monster you created did you become a never Trumper...btw, Peg, normal was always good... now go away

Joe looks, acts, talks, laughs like a normal person. His ideas, logic, stories, expressions of self-interest and national interest are normal.
He's normal for his age, and normal for this age. He looks like a family member who went to Sunday service and came to visit because he hasn't seen you in awhile.

This is the first idea in many moons that gives me the idea that "normal" might heal some of our more serious problems more quickly than people believe.

And now that her former boss was not only thrown under the bus and run over, he has been completely eviscerated and scattered all over the landfill by members of her own party. It's now completely unrecognizable.

After fighting hard to gain power, Biden and the Dems should wield it quickly and ruthlessly, without hesitation, to heal the country and alleviate the suffering of America.

But if Joe’s being “normal” gets him the votes to win the WH, I’m cool with that...
