Joe SCAB makes IMUS look educated, entertaining, astute. My pendulum swingeth (part way) back
When IMUS did his Correspondents Dinner hit job on Bill CLINTON, he earned "despicable" status. Then when he was on MSNBC, he was disgusting along with all the list of his toady guests: G.E. RUSSERT leading the pack. Contessa BREWER was a heroine for refusing to put up with his misogyny. After many infractions, he finally bit the dust with his racist crap that pretended to be humor. It was fantastic when MSNBC dumped him. And he was blessedly gone for awhile. When he returned, it was to a somewhat obscure niche, so it was almost as though he was still gone.
So Morning SCAB was minorly an improvement back then, with its bone thrown with a few Lib voices thoroughly mixed with Nazi BUCHANAN, plaigiarist BARNICLE, and the rest. It was still cringeworthy, with SCABS blustering and SCABS delivering his own misogyny, battering Mika Mouse. And with Mika Mouse being so submissive and enabling of his abuse.
But in the past year the SCABS circus got plain tiresome, the first hour being a topic of the day whipping Dems, only to be replayed (the whole first hour) in the third hour. And the star barkers now feeling enpowered with the many book tours and locations vacations and SCABS thinking he might run for prez and Mika Mouse turning into a sex kitten.
For the past several months I have just not turned it on, just dozed at those hours instead of dozing with irritation. And in the past few weeks I have checked out, incredulous at myself, the slime IMUS. And he looks and behaves as putredly as he ever did. But there were some refreshing comparisons to SCABS: IMUS with his SouthWestern chip on the shoulder setting traps for his Eastern Elite guests: How he butters them up at first, as with Doris Kearns GOODWIN, then making them squirm, telling Doris that her scholarly best sellers aren't as successful as O'LOOFAH's crayola books on LINCOLN and KENNEDY. Refreshing with the gimmick of starting to play a clip of some politician, then cutting it off immediately with, "SHUUUUUTTT UPPPPPP!1" Interesting to see how his wife has developed her half of the act, dovetailing into his inferiority complex thing, telling the Faux lawyer Lis WIEL that she is "SO self important!1"
Just saying. All the wingnut crap is just that.
