Probably pacing/biting my fingernails/snacking which I never do. I'll be a wreck unless they call it early for Biden. I'll probably be back and forth on DU also. I'm nervous already now that you mentioned it and I'm not the nervous type. I just keep getting flashbacks to 2016 and I'm afraid the GOP is already set up to steal it again.

About 4am, I'll put on the coffee, turn on the TV, and switch between MSNBC and FOX News to see what's being said. I guess I don't have any big expectations that the results will be conclusive yet.

fielding last minute calls, or watching ballots come in, to make sure there is no last minute funky business.

(I've been an observer on behalf of the Democratic presidential candidate the last 3 years. I'll be doing that again this year - although I don't have my specific assignment yet.)

the closer it gets to Nov 3 the more frazzled I become. I will barely be able to watch the results. The news is going to sound like a boxing match... who's up, who's down, it'll be unwatchable, yet I'll have to watch.

At a party in a restaurant for volunteers like the first time Obama won.

This time I am thinking of forcing myself not to watch, listen, read the whole day. Not sure if I can but I am too scared of what could happen. Last time we all thought we had it too and polls were wrong. Maybe its because I live in a red city and see Trump signs all over.

He'll dissect Florida. All margin of error for Biden runs through Florida.

Plus the Florida results will provide great indication of whether polling elsewhere is accurate or not. We need indication that the rural counties are less slanted toward Trump and that the swing counties like Pinellas have shifted toward Biden.

Florida via Schale will provide all of that. We should know where the election is headed by 8 PM and what Schale is reporting

I can't drink with the meds I take, so weed is gonna be my numbing agent for election night. I'm hoping it is actually a fairly early night for local races. I do not expect that the Presidential race will be declared for several days, but I do think we will have a pretty good idea. If turnout is high I think it should good night for Dems up and down the ticket.

In 2008 I was at work. In 2012 I was home but my local station ignored the warning not to cut in since results were imminent. Why they cut in was inexplicable. The local Mitt Romney headquarters also served as the headquarters for opposition to a local proposition to create pre-schools in San Antonio, called Pre-K for SA. When Obama was declared the winner, all I got to see was the looks on the faces of the Romney people as they got to see the results I was missing.

This year I will be home, praying the declaration will be on election night.
