(12,647 posts)They don't care how many of their fellow senators they infect, or kill (especially Grassley), their Corporate Masters decreed that the Federalist Freak must be on SCOTUS as a bulwark for their precious Unregulated Free Market "Republicanism".
Moscow Mitch's entire political existence depends on thwarting progress for anyone without lots of money and packing the courts to protect rich F'ers.

(3,741 posts)Mine: Knowing the division around your nomination and having spoken out against nominating someone to the SC during an election year, Why did you accept this nomination? And, as the majority of Americans believe, upwards of 70% queried think you should step back and not accept this nomination until after the next duly elected President of the United States is chosen by the American people? Will you? You will not be viewed as legitimate in the eyes of the people. Do you understand that?

(7,412 posts)Did the decision to block the nomination by the Republicans establish a legal precedent?
Did that decision form a verbal contract between the Senate and the voters?
Will the new SCOTUS be maximally representative of the 2020 electorate?
Does the unified White House and Senate provide adequate justification to break the contract and break from the precedent?
Let her justify her own existence with the best tone-deaf song and tap dance she can muster in front of a jaded, arms-crossed audience.
