I think we need some more humorous examples of "harvesting" to use in light of Mitt's new video.

"Bain Capital increases the value of companies, and then 'harvests' them."

Colonel Sanders didn't fatten up chickens and then slaughter them, he just 'harvested' their undervalued assets.

Loggers don't cut down trees anymore. They 'harvest' the forrest.

Car thieves don't chop cars. They merely 'harvest' the value of the individual parts.

Cortez didn't steal the gold relics of the Aztecs, melt them down, and ship them to Europe. He merely 'harvested' assets that were of more value to Europeans than to meso American indians.

What are some others? This should be like shooting fish in a barrel.

Articles I've read about harvesting human organs, body parts. It is a nasty business a kind of black market.

Instead of using people as human batteries, they use cutting their salaries, looting their pensions, and exporting their jobs as fodder for profits...and then convince them it's BAD to try and stop that (ie-'real men don't NEED trade protectionism.')

really gives me the creeps. If there were a buck in organ sales, I would wager Bain would have been investing in it. Herd the middle class into the holding pens where their high quality organs can be harvested.
