Elizabeth Warren accepts the endorsement of the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts

BOSTON — Flanked by firefighters in front of a station in South Boston, Elizabeth Warren accepted the endorsement of the Professional Firefighters of Massachusetts and said she would stand by them if elected to the U.S. Senate.

"This race is not about what kind of truck you drive. It's not about what jacket you wear. It's about how you vote, and Scott Brown has turned his back on firefighters,"

We chatted awhile and one of the things the nice young lady told me is that Elizabeth signed the "People's Pledge" which means no funds from outside groups, which includes the DSCC. So this is a reminder to send funds directly to Elizabeth.

Brown had the advantage of being an unknown who ran a well organized campaign and painted himself as a good guy while his opponent campaigned like a fucking zombie. A lot of expected groups supported Brown, cop organizations, police chiefs, firefighters and some surprising people like teachers, women and gays. Brown split independents too. This year Warren is peeling off big chunks of those groups, endangering Brown during that process.
