While I agree with you about what should be done

I can't help but think it might be fun to see the last of him in this country. Particularly if he ends up in some decrepit hut in a banana republic. Or in some old Soviet concrete apartment, periodically taken out on a leash by Putin.

That's the only way I can see him fleeing. He's far too recognizable for any commercial travel method.

I really don't think the US government will ever cease Trump's assets, but it would be wonderful if they did, and there was nothing left for the corrupt people lending him money to liquidate.

Maybe let him leave, as long as he never comes back again. He will have no money, power, or influence, so I'm not sure he will be able to find refuge anywhere though.

We should probably charge him with something first.

I'm all for putting him in prison, but due process isn't suspended in absence of charges just because he's bleating about leaving the country. The state of NY will deal with him shortly after he's out, I suspect.

Criminal dereliction of duty, for starters.

Inciting terrorism is another.

Emoluments from friendly fascists for everybody approved by Jared deserve scrutiny.

And he can’t pardon himself, no matter what Coney Barrett doesn’t say.

My dream is that he'll ultimately be tried for treason, convicted, and his citizenship revoked. To me that would be Iliad-level poetic justice. I know it's unlikely but as Bloody Mary sang in South Pacific:

"You got to have a dream,
If you don't have a dream,
How you gonna have a dream come true?"

...and angle grinders are sold over the counter to anyone who wants one, no questions asked. Petty things like not having a passport or being fitted with an ankle bracelet wouldn't stop him from fleeing.

My recommendation, if you really want to keep the bastard from hauling ass, is to gin up a short list of atrocities Trump is undoubtedly guilty of (anything having to do with money works) and take him into custody on January 20 right after Biden is sworn in. Refuse bail on the grounds he's a flight risk, take a month to come up with a solid list of things to charge him with, and bring him to court in a place that's majority Democrat.
