A hot mic exchange between two Fox sports announcers managed to grab a share of the NFL spotlight over the weekend, and their off-camera chat wasnt about Xs and Os. (Check it out below.)
Joe Buck and former star quarterback Troy Aikman zeroed in on a military jet flyover at a mostly empty Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida, before the host Buccaneers played the Green Bay Packers on Sunday. The banter got political, too.
Thats a lot of jet fuel just to do a little flyover, Aikman commented.
Thats your hard-earned money and your tax dollars at work! Buck replied.
That stuff aint happening with Kamala-Biden ticket, Ill tell you that right now, partner, Aikman said. ............(more)

(7,365 posts)We don't need a bunch of fly-overs at football games. It's a waste of time and advances militarism. I am not anti-military, my son is an Air Rescue Swimmer in the USN, but just as I don't want to see tanks rolling down our streets like often happens in an authoritarian parade nor do I need to see jets at football games. It serves no purpose other than as military propaganda.
And given Aikman is a low tax guy, I find it interesting he has no issue pissing away tax money on dog and pony shows like this. NO, it's not a ton of tax money in the grand scheme of things, but principally he should be opposed to this since it does not "promote the general welfare".
In the end, he like most Republicans are hacks and have no principles. Big Government is GOOD as long as it is the part of government that shows force or power, is aggressive or destructive.
