Politico should be renamed Stenographers for Mitt

Allen, Vandehai and some other guy should turn in their journalism degrees for this piece of propaganda on poor misunderstood Romney:

"It kills his admirers to say it because they know him to be a far more generous and approachable man than people realize — far from the caricature of him being awkward or distant — and they feel certain he would be a very good president."

The campaign knows their guy is inept so they come up with the spin that he's a tremendous person, generous, smart and empathetic. He's just not a politician. Who could possibly swallow this bilge. Oh I know Politico. Here's the rest of what they were told to write.

There have been scads of negative stories on Politico about Mitt.

This is just like the right who insist that Politico is an arm of the dem party.

They're just a lousy organization looking for a horse race.

and I can't say that I have read everything that has been on Politico. That said
Allen and Vandehei, both in print and on TV, can be counted on to regurgitate what the GOP operative hand them. I don't disagree that they have run articles which were hard on Mitt. If you want to have any credibility it would be impossible to do otherwise. Allen and Vandehei were the moving forces behind Politico. If you think they are disinterested journalists, I beg to disagree with you.
