I was going in to a parking place at Walmart and this big guy who just got out of his big well used SUV looked at me and was staring me down. He walked very slowly in front of my car went to the passengers side almost stopped at my window then went to the back of my car on the passengers side. He was in a position that I couldn't see him in after that but I was pulling into my parking place anyway. He was gone by the time I got out. I live in a very red county and had my very obvious BIDEN 2020 mask on. It freaked me out. I told my mother and also said I hope he was not taking down my license plate number to have access to any info he can use to try and intimidate me. What do my DU friends think?

(8,914 posts)it sometimes justified, I wouldn't worry though, most are too stupid, it was probably meant to intimidate, cause that's all they have.

(11,686 posts)Yeah, he did not look to bright so having the smarts to take a license number down and finding info on the net was beyond him.

(11,949 posts)Just got a new Biden cap in the mail. The subtle one that says No. 46 on the front and a small Biden on the back. I wore it to Publix.
I live is a purple area but lots of right wing retirees shop at this store. They all wear their trump gear. I got some looks, but no stares and certainly no attempt to intimidate or anything like that.
After that I went to ABC Liquor for a bottle of wine. The wine guy came over and asked if I needed help. Told him I know what I want. Then in a quite voice he said nice hat!
That made my day!

(7,595 posts)Sounds like he was trying to intimidate you.
You could try to find out what kind of information that he found out about you by searching on the internet your states name and license plate numbers. Here in New York, they can only get the year, make and model of the vehicle by searching on the internet, and not the name of the owner. I'm not saying that this person couldn't find out who you are if he has a friend that works on the police or sheriff's department. Which is why you should carry mace to protect yourself if need be.
Be safe out there, Doreen.

(3,543 posts)I would take down his license plate (when he left, if worried) take a picture of him with your cell phone, and then communicate what happened and when to a trusted friend or two. That way if something happened too you or your property, then there is a record.
