It would echo HRC going to Arizona, where there was a possibility she could win. Had she won election, no one would have said or thought anything of that or they might have noted it made the Republicans defend Arizona. However, if Biden went to Texas, the media would have spoken of areas of Michigan, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin or Florida.

It might be good to send Kamala or a top surrogate - even one of the Obamas. Texans, who could resonate with undecided Texans or excite more people to vote?

Under the governor's executive order customers are required to wear masks when going to a business. The last time I went grocery shopping I would say that 90% of the people were wearing masks and the percentage is even higher at Walmart.

Within the past week the number of people that are infected and hospitalized has increased after several weeks of decline. I think that a Biden visit to San Antonio or one of the Rio Grande Valley cities would have the most impact to get Hispanic voters to go vote.

Biden might actually win Texas, which would be incredible and give him a very strong mandate to govern. But Trump can't afford to divert resources to Texas. If Biden went to Texas one day and Obama went the next the Trump team will absolutely freak out and their panic will be impossible to hide. They will be thinking "what do they know!" and it will demoralize Trump supporters everywhere. Obama can pick up a rally for Biden somewhere else to offset Biden taking the time to go to Texas. Trump does not have any powerful surrogates.

If not Joe, then Kamala.

Writing off any state, even the reddest of the red, is dumb. I can just hear Joe Biden's soft voice, somewhere in the middle of deep, deep red country, saying, "I know many of you here won't vote for me. But if I win this race, I will be your President, too." And then he goes on to say one of the many compassionate things he says so often.

He *can* in fact, walk and chew gum at the same time. He's already going to the midwest states also, and will continue to do so. They have this thing now, they are really cool, they are called "airplanes"! :-D

Comparing him to HRC not even going to WI in 2016 is silly, in fact, any comparison to 2016 is just a waste of time.

If we get there we would not have to worry much about swing states. This is the first national election where we have seen Democratic candidate campaign ads. Usually we only hear from Republicans. Hearing only one side kept us Red.

The focus this year has helped register a lot of voters for us that were previously uninvolved. Think of Joe’s trip here as an investment for Democrats for the future. It may also help him pull off the upset!

Even if he doesn't win, TX will be a lot bluer. Beto speaks from experience, his run at Cruz helped flip state Senate & House seats and inspired a sweep of every judgeship in Harris Co if I remember correctly.

And I suspect that Joe would have Whataburger takeout a few times while he's there. Trump would never do that, way too out of touch

As long as they stay in the large cities and maintain their usual standard of care, everyone will be perfectly safe.

We've gotten absolutely no attention from the Democratic party for so many years. The presidential and senate races are extremely close this time - turnout is what will make the difference. Visit from Biden or Harris would be huge.

Trump is spending nothing TX, GA, IA, and OH these days. Outside probably OH, I'll definitely spend some resources there. It is wide open.
In 2016, Clinton team focused all their money and effort in PA, FL, and NC and lost of these states despite outspending Trump.
Biden's camp should definitely spend money to get out the vote and make sure mail in ballots are returned, in Pa, NC, FL, MI, and WI, but there is definitely diminishing return on investment in ads. I live in PA and we are totally saturated with ads. It is better investment to play ads in states where they do not as many and where the market is open.

Get in front of Hispanic voters and remind them that Trump called people like them stupid for showing up at immigration hearings, condemn the administration's child separation policy, tell them he hasn't forgotten about the citizens of Puerto Rico, and let them know one and all that they are the future of this nation and their support can make that happen sooner than later.

Do it. And have Harris and Obama hit other areas in those states during the days following his visits.
