Reverse Psychology

We all know Trump will end the long lines after polls are closed in heavily democratic metro areas, but.... what IF we hand of trump signs to those waiting... maybe a fox news camera catch it...maybe trump would not stop the vote... if he think trump voters are still waiting, when they are actually Biden voters...

First, when polls close, if you are in line, you get to vote.

Second, candidate materials are not allowed within a designated area near the polls (I believe it's a 150' perimeter.) so handing out items is verboten.

Third, what sane Democratic voter is going to stand in a voter line holding campaign material for their despised opponent?

That's not reverse psychology...that's nuts.

Well trump is stupid and those lines would most likely extend past 150 ' ...

Lastly, trump will do all he can to shutdown the vote...

True, I would cringe to be shown as a supporter... but it could work to keep him from filling court request to stop the vote...

Just a thought

Got 25-50 friends or a really big family? Wouldn’t that be fun.

The best part would be he would fall for it totally. After all this time aren’t WE entitled to making some fake news?!

The job of your voter protection team is hard enough without having to sort out real long lines (which we track) from fake long lines.

As has already been noted, those who are in line when the polls close, no matter how long those lines are, get to vote.

Plus, they will probably be well within whatever the local limit is for things like campaign signs.

You haven't thought this through.

Oh, and I can't speak for anyone else, but I would absolutely NOT hold a Trump sign. You could not possibly convince me it's a joke worth making.

The law is absolutely clear that if you are in line, you get to vote.

Aside from which, closing the polls is under the control of the local board of elections.

Finally, democrats also have a robust voter protection team. Part of the protocol is to protect the end of the line when the poll closing hour arrives. There are attorneys on standby (working all day for this, and other, isssues) who will work first with the local boards of election, and if that is not successful - will immediately file for an injunction.

We've been doing this for years. (I've personally been doing it for 3 presidential elections - this will be my 4th) This particular concern is a non-issue.

Short-staffing/overloading polling locations in places where there are likely democratic voters - which creates longer lines in the first place is harder. The fallout from that is people get tired and leave. A much better idea than shoving Trump signs in voter's hands to prevent the line being cut off would be to see if there is anything you can do to encourage voters not to leave.

I am just worried that he will file to stop the elections of any state after 1901, including those in lines. Didn't know those in lines are entitled by law to allowed to vote. It seems in prior elections that the Republicans want to stop allowing those in voting line pass 1900 to vote. With his supreme court, afraid more than ever he get his way.
