I don't see the amusement in that. And I am not in favor of Jim Carrey in that role. He has his good points but trying ti imitate Joe isn't one of them.

and often no, relation to truth. Humor without illuminating truth as its point is just emotional slapstick. And that's what SNL is, kept alive by those episodes with moments of the kind of truthy brilliance we talk about the next day.

Imo, casting Jim Carry as a slapstick character named Biden was a sadly lost opportunity because it pretty much destroyed any chance of creating one of those around his candidacy.
