Wallace has an insider's perspective; Maddow takes more of an academic approach. Both are very good at what they do, but they do different things.

perspective. Wallace is a former republican operative who is now an independent because trump has happened to her party.

I'm glad she contributes what she does but her perspective is not of more value than Maddow's.

Again, apples and oranges.

She celebrated winning using voter suppression and dirty tricks. She rightfully disavows Trump and his Republican cult now, but never hear her say anything bad about earlier administrations. One exception is her description of Sarah Palin.

I make sure to watch both of them every day. Both are highly intelligent. Dr Maddow has a gift for bringing guests on one at a time for in-depth interviews. Ms Wallace has a gift for bringing a panel together and letting each speak their piece. Both of them are unafraid to show their hearts and humanity in these times.

Welcome to DU.

in drilling down on a particular topic that everyone else is missing. Ex: the spread of Covid in nursing homes, the DeJoy situation, the recent rise in covid in rural states, Trump family's ongoing corruption.

Nicolle was a longtime GOP political insider and operative, and so she clearly is better at understanding the daily ins-and-outs of politics and how Washington works, similar to Chris Matthews and Lawrence O'Donnell.

She listens to replies, asks great follow-up questions and presses guests who won't answer. She did a real good job with Bolton who was only partly successful at evading her questions.
