Do I have to change the IP addy on my saved link to always go to DU3?

This discussion thread was locked as off-topic by Odin2005 (a host of the General Discussion forum).

I have a link on my home page to DU. It's much quicker and easier that way. When I clicked on tonight, I was taken to the old DU. What do I have to change to make sure I always come to DU3?

2. You're here now, so you must have a URL for DU3.

First, if you think you might want to go back to DU2 for something, you'll still need that address. Open another window/tab in your browser, click to your current home page (DU2), and then make a bookmark for DU2 using the Bookmark function in your browser.

Next, come back to this window. Hit the "home" tab in DU3 to take you to the front page for DU3--or Latest Threads, or wherever you like to start. Copy the URL from that page, then open the Preferences for your browser and paste the DU3 URL as your new start page.

Maybe you have linked to a page (like the latest) that has a different address here on DU3. You will have to edit the link to reflect the changes.

The old link to the latest looks something like this - it will take you to DU2: democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=latest_threads

The new DU3 link to the latest looks like this: democraticunderground.com/?com=latest_threads

I removed the http://www. from the beginning of both links.
