It is perfectly normal have anxiety right now.

Considering what is at stake, it is the natural reaction.
The polls are looking good, but we know Trump and the GOP will pull out all stops to steal this. To use what ever means at their disposal, including the Federal Government to stop votes from being counted.
So being nervous is understandable. Just take some deep breadths, and know many of us feel the same thing.
Instead on dwelling on the dystopia if Trump grabs this election, think about the positive things a Biden Presidency can bring.
Uncertainty is a hard thing to accept, but it is better to live with the uncertainty today that get upset over things that have not happened yet.
We are here for each other.

For me I feel like I'm in the water with the sharks circling while the rescue boat is still a mile away.

Also, this election shows why Pot needs to be legal.

But my brain hasn't been able to focus in the last few days, and my anxiety is through the roof right now.. I can't sleep.

just don't fall into the "But what if he..." trap. That just causes more anxiety.
But a lot of us are in the same boat.

But it's less than I thought it would be considering election is days away. I think the constant anxiety during these past 4 years has worn out my anxiety button. Or it's my new dailith Pierces

Pessimistically optimistic.

Went to my doctor the other day and he asks how I’m feeling. My reply, in French - with translation -
«Je me sens bien. Eh bien, à part la peur existentielle, l'angoisse flottante et l'ennui écrasant.»
Sa réponse: «Oh, c'est normal, ce n'est pas seulement vous, je pense que tout le monde éprouve ces sentiments en ce moment.»

'I feel fine. Well, apart from the existential dread, free floating angst, and overwhelming ennui.'
His reply: 'Oh, that's normal, it's not just you, I think the whole world is experiencing those feelings right now.'

So that was comforting, kind of, but not really. And surprisingly for France, he didn’t offer to write a prescription for helpful little pills, not that I like those all that much.
