On this day, November 2, 2000, first long-term residents arrive at the International Space Station

We're one day away from #SpaceStation20th!
In 2019, Expeditions 59, 60, and 61 head up to the space station.

In March, SpaceX’s Crew Dragon (Demo-1) returned to Earth after a five-day mission docked to the orbiting lab, thus restoring America’s human spaceflight capability.

The first ISS component was launched in 1998, and the first long-term residents arrived on 2 November 2000.

... I hope they boost the ISS into a higher stable orbit to be kept as a museum piece rather than let it fall.

The ISS has got plenty solar power. Strap a few electric engines on it and have the last resident activate them when she turns out the lights and shuts the airlock door behind her.

This is our human history.
