Voters are not going to fall in love with Romney between now and Election Day.

Romney knows that and the Republican Party and FOX News knows that. That is not going to change.

But what they can try to change is the way the voters feel about Barack Hussein Obama. And they will try every trick in the book to tear down this President in the next 5 weeks. They will mock and ridicule and lie. They are a desperate Party that will do anything, yes anything, to try and win this next election. They will lie, cheat, and steal. They would go even further if they thought they could get away with it.

So we know what to expect in the next few weeks. There are no surprises in store. The Republican Party will show their true colors. The first sign of desperation is when they start yelling about media bias. It has begun.

8. It won't work

The American public knows President Obama and they like him. The only way the Republicans have a chance at winning is to steal it, but I think the margins are getting to big for them to do it. I think that's what is freaking them out too. The more they pile hatred on Obama, the more they are repulsing the public and I think it will help us in the down ballot races. This could be a GOP catastrophe.

I was driving across town in Grand Rapids on Friday & there's a big billboard on the corner of 131S & 28th by the Republican Party that says, "Obama supports gay marriage & abortion...DO YOU?" I saw a car full of young people pull up next to me. They were pointing and nodding at the billboard and I could see them mouthing, "Yeah, we do!" I rolled down my window and told them to vote. They said they would, gave me a thumbs up, then the light turned.

Gave me hope.

The "Skewed Polls" meme is a desperate attempt by the GOP to get un enthused Republicans to the polls. It will not work.

10. So, let's say I'm an undecided voter.

That means I didn't buy into the birther bullshit. The same people who pushed (and in some cases are still pushing) the birther bullshit now tell me something "new and awful" about how "unsuitable" the President is? And I would listen to them because....?

I expect to see a lot of ugly thrown around but I don't think it's going to help much. It might even backfire and help us.

11. People already know Obama, tho...

That's been their problem this whole campaign. They know Obama and nothing Romney says or does is going to change that. That's the beauty (or sometimes the risk) of being the incumbent. Generally, people have made up their mind about you before the stretch run. In Carter's and H.W. Bush's case, the American people had decided they didn't like 'em as president. Americans haven't decided that about Obama and won't change their minds between now and November.

The fact is, of the last two incumbents who have lost reelection the past 32 years, both were trailing in the polls at this point. Both had disapproval ratings pushing 60%. Both were in dire trouble.

Obama is not in that position. No matter what they say, or do, it's not going to change the views of those Americans. It just isn't.

12. Like many here, it won't work.

I think the voters are tiring of this crap. Some how, by some miracle, the lies and equivocations are no longer working on a sufficient number of voters that Mitt has no chance of turning this around.

My reason for claiming this is the very small number of undecideds in the presidential polls. It is true that some 40% of the electorate actually believe the lies, and President Obama will never turn them. But many have turned away from Romney and are not going to turn back to supporting him.

If Romney turns extra nasty in the last month, something suggested by many here and elsewhere, it isn't going to help, and very well may hurt him more. All Barack Obama has to do then is to remain presidential.

It may be just that easy peasy.
