A man from Kenya commenting on the Birther issue ...and laughing his head off

I went to get my flu shot today, and a black pharmacist with an interesting accent in his impeccable English did the deed.
I asked him where he is from, and he said "Kenya".
"Well", I said, "that's where many say our President was born. When you still lived there did you ever run into him? Any opinion on the issue".

He pulled back from having almost just inserted the needle and laughed uproariously. "In Kenya, when a child is born it belongs to everybody. And if the child makes good then everybody wants a piece of that, it's what happens in poor countries.
No, President Obama was not born in Kenya. I know that as sure as I'm about to stick you with this needle."

Not only was he dark and handsome, he was witty, too.

handsome.
My mother taught me that one can spot intelligence in a face.
And stupid is just not good looking to me.

And not even that!

For the "KKK Confederate flag", which most people know, never existed in the Confederacy.

It's not the "stars and bars" flag even though they often call it that.

It would be the battle flag (one of them) if it were square not rectangular.

It would be the Confederate Navy (which never really existed) flag if the blue was a different color.

But that flag you see on beach towels, license plates and the SC Capital is not a real Confederate flag.

Christ, so sick of that ahistorical nonsense. There are LOTS of "confederate flags" out there. There's the national flag (several)! State flags! even tribal flags, an endless plethora of standards, sigils, and colors!

But no, we gotta see the shit Nathan Bedford Forrest conjured up. And we're suppose to gulp it down when we're told "it's not racist."

'Course, any display of a confederate flag is displaying a symbol of a nation that existed solely out of the desire to keep black people as livestock, so they're all racist as shit... but fuck, at least show some grasp of history, amirite?

I think they'd fail one of the tests of sentience ... although they seem to be able to "self-replicate", or however the definitions go ...

7. What's funny is that Obama is winning just because "everybody wants a piece of that".
