But it is incredibly nice here in Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois today. Around 70 degrees or so. In 2008, when Obama/Biden got elected it was similar weather. Just saying. Maybe its a good sign. Or maybe I'm just full of stuff and nonsense. Either way, I feel confident. Bluenami.

(9,998 posts)No, I doubt the weather is a good indication of whether Democracy will survive.
Just stay calm, and see what happens.

(26,257 posts)In fact, it looks like another 6 or so days of temps in the high 60's and even some low 70's with plenty of sunshine.

(137 posts)In Colorado, its beautiful, sunny and mild. On my early morning walk through the neighborhood with my Springer Spaniel, she drew my attention to a beautiful blue-gray Coopers Hawk on the ground about four feet away, mantled over his breakfast. We eyed each other for a long moment before he flew away with his meal. I dont know why, but being privileged to see him and be seen by him felt like a good omen to me. silly, I know, but Ive never seen one so close before.

(23,301 posts)Good to hear what its like on the other side of the mountains. Gorgeous day here. The Elections Office is super busy...I drove by twice since its on my way to and from work. Lines are out the door and around the block. Fingers crossed its a good sign for Biden and for Montana.

(86,508 posts)I had to go pay some bills and stuff so I went to town and I noticed a lot of -45 signs missing. State Rs' signs still up but his name is disappearing quickly. I went past the courthouse and there was no parking and I'm pretty sure they don't schedule court hearings on election day. I didn't go down to the fairgrounds to see what the main polling place looked like but I can imagine it was busy, politics is a thing around here. I forgot to go have a peek.
It's been in the 70s yesterday and today. Chinook at night and stout breeze during the day, no clouds.
It's supposed to go back to winter somewhere between now and the next 36 hours or something like that. I really am unconcerned since we got all the winter prep done and what the weather does isn't a worry.
I hope everything goes well for America during the next few days!

(23,301 posts)a tRumpster. 4 years ago, I may or may not have messed with his sign a few times. Okay I did, but I didnt destroy it or steal it but I did tape unflattering pictures of the MF on it as often as I could. One I covered the sign with an old bedsheet that said CLOWN. I could help myself. Anyway, this year he has a Daines sign out but no 45 sign out. My kiddo said the other day that he thinks the neighbors should thank me for that but he has been sworn to secrecy...so I hope no one knows...
Im cautiously hopeful tonight.
