That's why the deadline was reinstated back in October. Plus, there were plenty of other options available to vote. It sucks but people need to be mindful of these things when they wait until the weekend before the election to mail their ballots.

And that likely means any legal battle will be tossed out based on that fact. It sucks but that's how the Georgia courts ruled.

Originally they were told they would get 3 extra days, then the court ruled they weren't.
But not everybody is up to date on the latest court ruling.

I am pretty the Supreme Court would say no. I think the first thing they should look at is postmark date (if there is one) to determine how long they may have been sitting.

"A: For now, absentee ballots would be counted if they’re postmarked by Election Day and received at county election offices within three days afterward, according to a judge’s ruling. However, the secretary of state’s office is appealing that decision and seeking to reinstate a state law that sets the deadline at 7 p.m. on Election Day."

But if you put your ballot in the mail on Sunday for a Tuesday delivery in a state that doesn't count ballots received AFTER election day, you're an idiot, and don't deserve to have your vote counted. The rules are clear.
