Joe Biden expanded his lead in Nevada by roughly 4,000 ballots on Thursday, pushing him closer to defeating President Trump in this year’s nail-biter of an election.
Biden’s edge over Trump in Nevada is now about 12,000 ballots, or 1%, though it was still too early to call the state, as hundreds of thousands of votes remained to be tallied.
The boost to Biden’s Nevada standing came after election officials in the state began releasing results of a large batch of mail-in ballots cast this year because of the coronavirus pandemic.
Nevada awards six Electoral College votes.
