Domestic terRorism should be illegal if it isn't already?

States should indict the mass-muRderer-in-chief as well.

Waiting for a result. Five minutes ago I watched a few minutes of trump's recent statements.

I have no earthly idea what the official remedy may be, but suggest he should just be ignored and things go on around him with no input from the defeated C in C. What a bizarre moment in time.

As an Australian I don't have the fine details, but I keep seeing the 25th Amendment thrown around. It looks like the way to shuffle a sitting President out of the room.

I can't see the 25th being an option at this point in time. It would need the vice president plus a majority of the cabinet to say, aloud, that he is a dangerous nutter.

Section 4. Whenever the Vice President and a majority of either the principal officers of the executive departments or of such other body as Congress may by law provide, transmit to the President pro tempore of the Senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives their written declaration that the President is unable to discharge the powers and duties of his office, the Vice President shall immediately assume the powers and duties of the office as Acting President.

If those gutless wonders couldn't shift their arses when he was locking children up, trying to frame the Bidens and gutting the military budget for his wall, among a thousand other things - there is no way they are going to depose the despot now that he's lost the election.

Good to meet another Aussie - where are you? (PM if you like)

All evening I’ve been wondering how to call
this election for Biden without endangering
both the lives of officials and election workers,
along with keeping all the elections offices, ballots,
and other apparatus intact.

That’s why I keep hoping that the armed Trumpers
will not be able to shoot people or destroy records
and buildings when Biden is announced as the
winner.

Praying for a peaceful outcome...

Except for our complicated, somewhat undemocratic, highly-cumbersome, and inefficient federal system, as it stands and as it has stood for 244 years. It’s a menace, but it works.

The states are supreme over our Federal government in our system. The states control the votes, and Trump can’t make them do ANYTHING. So, they will keep doing what they are doing now. They will count their votes, they will certify their electors, they will meet, and they will (almost certainly) elect Joe Biden President. There’s absolutely nothing that Trump can do to stop this, no matter what he says, and no matter what he does.

THIS WILL HAPPEN.

Then, on January 20, 2021 a President will be sworn in. If that President is Joe Biden, then, even if an orange mound of pure pathos is still holed up in the White House, he will be evicted and power will transfer pursuant to our Constitution.

Yes. It’s cumbersome, but one of its great virtues is that it is remarkably resistant to tyranny, as we may soon see.
