She has 42K in AZ and 61K in Georgia. Trumpy must be pissed!

(25,429 posts)Normally, one would think so, but in this context, they could be never-Trumpers who also didn't want to vote for Biden, so they voted Jo as a protest, then supported Rs down-ticket.
Of course, Trump doesn't do nuance and would assume they would have all been his.

So do you think she messed with trump's totals in Arizona & Georgia?
I bet my friend, who is deep into AZ Democratic politics that she wouldn't get 2 %. Libertarians usually do well in AZ but I know people either love or hate Trump and would skip third party this time.

'Republicans who smoke pot' ... and want to abolish ICE
At a recent forum hosted by the California Libertarian Party, presidential candidates made a resounding case for open borders, as reported by debate moderator Matt Welch of Reason magazine. Their administrations would end immigration enforcement, or Abolish ICE, to borrow a leftist protest chant.
Its a police state, and theres only one solution to it: Dismantle it all. People have a fundamental, God-given right to cross borders like human beings and not die of thirst and dehydration in the desert and on the back of eighteen-wheelers, candidate Jacob Hornberger said.

(10,500 posts)A lot of people simply want to cast a protest vote, and they have vaguely heard of Libertarians. But in 2016 I saw polling which indicated that Gary Johnson was taking more votes from Clinton.

(11,605 posts)He encouraged me to vote for Jorgenson in New York to help the LP keep its ballot access, which it's in danger of losing due to Cuomo expanding the number of votes needed to keep it. I considered it, because I knew Biden didn't need my vote and I figure having Libertarians on the ballot might help Democrats in close House or legislative races in the future, but in the end I couldn't do it.

A lot of people just want to cast a protest vote, and are vaguely familiar with the Libertarian Party, so they pick the Libertarian candidate over other 3rd party candidates.
