In spite of the pandemic, in spite of all of the economic suffering...

and in spite of all of the bullshit that Trump has put this country through the past four years...

The fact is that the Democratic Party has generally performed brilliantly during this campaign. Absolutely brilliantly.

We have to remember that we are up against a CULT and a gaggle of low information voters who are not really into politics and believe every stupid word that comes out of Trump's mouth. Something like this is very hard to defend yourself against, let alone defeat. As much as we do not like it, and as much as we can't understand it, that's how it is. That's the reality. Those of us who were expecting a Ronald Reagan type of blowout in this election are not facing this reality. The Democratic Party has overcome this reality on a national level, and now is not the time to pick apart our own party. There is plenty of time in the future to figure out what could have been done better. We can always do better, every person or entity can always do better, but now, I think we should be basking in the glory of victory, because when all is said and done, I think our margin of defeat in our existing shitty electoral college system will be admirable.

I also would like to say something about Steve Kornacki. I admit that for quite some time, I have been kind of lukewarm about the guy, but now, I think he deserves some well earned praise, and I have changed my opinion about him. The guy is running on fumes, and he has been outstanding in the way he has provided information during this election. I always ask myself if I could perform the job of anyone who I am thinking of criticizing, and in this case, I know that I could not do even 1% of the job that this guy is doing. I really do not know of anyone who could. I think Kornacki is a rare breed. I do not care that he might be overly exuberant. I do not care about the color of his pants, and I do not care that an exhausted man may not answer questions in a way that I may not find to be perfect. I am grateful for him.

That's my opinion, not that it means a damn thing, but that's it.

... accounting for it in the degree it should be accounted for.

There should be an outside government come in and review US polling, there's no way we get it this wrong for so long and skewed towards one party.

sleep now that he's reported trump's demise, he's run out of gas. I like him, but he's having a are time focusing right now.

After a long answer about PA votes just now, Mika Brzezinski said, "Steve I am fascinated by your trip through the weeds, but let's try to focus on the key points," or something like that.
