(46,576 posts)Certainly, it would be worth it to find out what it is before they export it to other states.

(46,576 posts)It might involve checking the last 200000 new voter registrations to confirm they're valid people, or checking to make sure that the electronic machines didn't flip big number for Trump.

(13,043 posts)small numbers of votes here, there everywhere.
i think this time they blew out and if there is any trail to be followed it will lead to a real stinker of electoral fraud.

(159 posts)There is no other state like it in the country. I don't think Democrats have done a great job on outreach or targeted selling in that state.
I tend to agree that Ohio and Iowa are low probability targets going forward.

(46,576 posts)It's a Florida backwater problem. Too much desire to stay in good with the backwater networks that tap into Republican relationships.
You can't represent all the newcomers that come into Florida, at the same time that you're trying to protect the status quo that keeps things resistant to change.

It would be crazy to write off Florida. Ohio and Iowa are admittedly Republican-leaning. But Florida is still a purple state.
Texas is still light red, but it is gradually becoming purple. Arizona, Georgia, and North Carolina are definitely battleground states, along with the 2nd Congressional District of Nebraska.

(35,357 posts)It has expensive media markets in Miami, Orlando, Tampa, and Jacksonville. GA, on the other hand, is realtively inexpensive with a large and growing African American population in Atlanta.
It will take a lot of money and work to make FLA reliably blue. Less so in GA.
