Because Doing Nothing Is Deadly: A Theme For Georgia's Races

Since it looks almost certain that Dumpf will be out in January, it’s time to think of the two Georgia Senate race run-offs.

I think a major theme the Messrs. Warnock and Ossoff ought to use is that re-electing Republicans to those seats would mean at least two more years of McConnell-style obstruction and legislative blockage. I don’t think that I need to tell any. DU’ers that this is a bad thing.

Come New Years Day, the Pandemic will be raging as intensely OT even more so, and tens of thousands of Americans will have died and the limited relief of the Trump stimulus package will have expired. The economy will be in recession and millions of Americans face the choice of working and risking their lives and health or being homeless and starving.

These things will affect Georgia’s economy as well as the rest of the country. So hopefully Messrs. Warnock and Ossoff and their staffs will ask if they want jobs and an end to the pandemic or misery, hunger, and a continuation of the Pandemic that kills tens of thousands of Americans each week?

Because the Republicans’ current response is likely to be from hunger, from homelessness, from want, from death, from illness.
