(82,849 posts)GOP operatives use the military at their pleasure. Bludgeon Democrats with it when they want to paint us as soft on communism or soft on terrorism or this or that. Send them off to fight endless battles of attrition in far-flung locales when they need some rah-rah war footage. Then when the military personnel come back, some dead, some broken, some with invisible wounds and scars, and they're bums looking for a handout.
Now the GOP needs to disqualify military ballots because they're not helpful. No problem.
Then, next election cycle, they'll be right back to portray themselves as the champions of national security and the best buds of all military personnel everywhere. And the media will repeat it without so much as a raised eyebrow.
