Michelle Goldberg wrote a column in the NY Times about the time and attention this worthless being has sucked up from all of us. She says, "the attention sucked up by this black hole of a president has been its own sort of loss. Every moment spent thinking about Trump is a moment that could have been spent contemplating, creating or appreciating something else. Trump is a narcissistic philistine, and he bent American culture toward him."

I see Goldberg's point and I very much appreciate it. However, watching this debacle with Trump is well worth our while because he is not the first psychological meltdown where people and ideals have suffered enormously. Hitler comes to mind, but he is not the only crazy leader in history.

We must, we absolutely must, find ways to safeguard ourselves from leaders who are sociopaths and who would lead us down the path to fascism.
