After a huge wave as we had in 2018, there's always a swing back. We still have the majority. Now, we need the majority in the Senate.

touch screen ballots, the kGOPb won by crazy margins, in spite of polling.

Paper ballots vs vapor ballots. They've been doing it for twenty years, and will continue as long as we don;t insist on paper ballot back ups.

As far as I know, those were seats that we flipped in 2018, those “moderate” gerrymandered districts.

we didn't really flip 3 seats, the two NC seats were radically redrawn in our favor and were baked in, we really only flipped one seat.

They were redrawn to be fairer after being found to be radically (and racially, I believe) drawn AGAINST us.

And if not for radically drawn districts, Republicans would have suffered an even more humiliating defeat.

but they certainly were very much in our favor. Had that not happened we would not have picked up any seats here. We lost ground in the general assembly, lost ground in our consul of state races, and lost both the presidential EV and the senate seat (in all likelihood they haven't been called yet). We also lost at least 2 supreme court seats, 5 appellate court seats.

We won a majority of them.

And considering that each CA rep has to represent 20x the number of people as a WY rep,

And considering the extreme gerrymandering in states like WI, MI, OH, and PA where Democrats can win 2/3 of the votes for the house in the state but only come out with 1/4 the representatives,

Then keeping a majority was a big effing deal.

throwing out the old map in 2018 and implementing its own map after the GOP legislature refused to work with Gov Wolf to produce its own new map. Our delegation went from 13R, 5D to 9R, 9D.
