The GSA has not yet "ascertained" that Biden is the Pres elect and thus hasn't granted access for

his team to the various governmental agencies. The longer they wait the more it will hamper the incoming Biden administration's ability to make a smooth transition. Biden win was finally called on a weekend so I don't think it is an issue yet but a story worth tracking over the coming week.

As a rule, the GSA avoids any hint of partisanship. Even as the media declared Biden the winner on Saturday, the GSA was reluctant to immediately follow, saying in a statement that ďan ascertainment has not yet been made. GSA and its Administrator will continue to abide by, and fulfill, all requirements under the law.Ē Every passing day, however, also stalls what was already a historically difficult transition. Making matters even more complicated, the law on the subject is vague and leaves it up to Murphy to determine when Biden is officially president-elect.

Bidenís transition did not respond to requests for comment.

Murphy could play it safe and wait until December 14, when the Electoral College is set to cast their ballots for the president. But doing so could also significantly hamper the Biden transition effort and leave them scrambling amid dueling public health and economic crises.

2. For the GSA to move forward, Trump must concede. Barring that, GSA must wait

At least until the SOSís certify enough results to reach 270, or, worst case scenario, until December 14, when the electoral college votes.

5. There is no legal or constitutional requirement that the loser concede.

It's nothing more than a norm and a courtesy. The GSA is probably waiting for the last votes to come trickling in, but they don't have to wait for a concession.

6. But a concession would enable the GSA to "ascertain" the winner. Nt

14. Probably by December 8

December 8: The "safe harbor" deadline under the Electoral Count Act, where states must finally resolve any controversies over the selection of their electors of the Electoral College.[872][823]

3. Does anyone think Biden expected cooperation? He's planned for all contingencies.

I am sure he will do the best he can, and use his experience to compensate where possible.

11. I agree. If this goes on one day in the coming week, the top managers there should

be fired on Day 1. I am tired of this type of shit.

13. And NEED to be shunned from any government function ever again.

There need to be severe consequences for anyone failing to complete their duties regardless of political party. Otherwise the same escalation of Republicans screwing over the Democratic Party will continue at will for their exploitation to corrupt everything.
