disclaimer- i am a sucker for movies set in chicago.
also, the writer and producer and i have a mutual admiration society.
his name is jay paul deratany, and he is one of the top personal injury lawyers in chi. i met him when he was running for judge (he lost). i was on the board of my local dem party, and we always did a meet and greet for judicial candidates.
they would give us a schpiel, and we would grill them. then we would chat w them.
he came up to me afterward and said- dont take this the wrong way, but i love your big mouth.
we have been fb friends for years, and i have been wanting go watch this movie.
i have amazon prime, but this one was a $7 rental.
a big corporate lawyer is in court, and gets tagged by a judge to represent a young man who is in court on a drug charge. he has a lawsuit that has been pending for 6 yrs against the foster care agency. but no one will take the case.
so, the judge makes him take the case.
see this movie. just do it.

i dont expect folks to watch it tonight. but i do hope to get ppl to recognize it, so when they are on amazon looking for something to watch maybe they will remember it.
it's such an important issue.
at the end of the film they show a stat- 40% of foster kids will be homeless, incarcerated or dead w/in 3 years of aging out of the system.
and this is illinois. i assume it is worse in poorer, redder states.
