What's Biden going to do about Joe Manchin in a 50/50 Senate?

Assuming we win the GA runoffs. Biden's back-slapping, good ol' boy politicking will have to pay in spades. Manchin will be the king maker in the Senate and Joe will need to shower him with praise, a few beers, and overnights at the White House Talk about how great and beautiful the state of West Virginia is. Give him anything he wants as far as federal dollars. Get Jill to befriend his wife. I think that should probably keep him on board for most stuff, outside of climate change related bills.

1. Glaring light of publicity

None of these Politicos want their true selves revealed. Expose any who resist the Blue Wave.

2. What are you talking about? Manchin is from WV.

Lose him and we lose the seat. There's no left to him in that state.

6. It's a miracle he exists at all. I'll happily

buy him lunch.

4. Sinema is just as conservative and likely to defect on many things a micrometre too far to the left.

Let's just hope we get to 50/50. I have serious doubts, unfortunately.

Abrams will need to drop a nuke bomb of mojo there to pull both off.

5. What Manchin does depends on the people in his home state. It's not about whatever you describe

The same goes for most people who are elected .

7. A Democrat winning in WV is an amazing thing, people should have more respect for Joe. He votes

with Dems as much as he can.

8. Without his vote the ACA was gone. When we bad more like him, we had the Senate.

A big tent/50 state strategy is needed. I heard all sorts of crap here about Heidi Heitkamp and Claire McCaskill but had we retained them, we would now have a 50 50 Senate.

9. Well said. Look at the attacks on them, even TLP, and there's a theme which is short sighted for

a big tent Democratic Party. You can still have your big ideas, but for God's sake be mindful of your party colleagues who are fighting for a seat in an R+10 or R+15 district, and choose your words accordingly.

10. It appears that there is no way to rid of the filibuster even if we win both GA seats

Manchineel is against elimination of the filibuster. Even if we win both Georgia seats, there is no way to rid of filibuster
